How do I finalize a DVD in my camcorder?

CANT FINALIZE DVDRW, Doesnt recognize it?

• I recently purchased a Canon Mini DVD camcorder. Using DVD-R's, no problem. I can finalize and pop it in any computer or DVD player. When I use mini DVD-RW's, I cant get it to finalize. I can view the videos on the camera itself but I can not finalize the disc. Its not an option on the camera. Because I cant finalize it, the DVD player and laptop view it as a brand new disc. I did initialize the disc b4 recording. Please help!!! I want to be able to view my videos without hooking up the camera NO MORE DVD-RW'S after this

  you don't finalize RW discs. they are formatted prior to shooting and are ready to view immediatly after. not all players recognize -RW media, check the specs on you player and laptop.
