Is it normal to look bad on a camera recording?

Should I buy a camera or video camera?

• I like recording when I go on vacations (which I do often), but I want to take pictures for a family calander I make every year. I know that a video camera can take pictures and a camera can take videos, but I'm just not sure which I should get. It seems harder to take pictures on a video camera...I also feel like more people (and me) will look at pictures and not videos...help!

  Digital cameras that can also record video do so at a low resolution. Same as a video cameras that can take still images. Professional type cams can do both better but at a much higher price. If you have a digital camera, you will use it more often that a camcorder. Having one of each is more versatile, and you get the best quality imagery of both devices.
