How do I upload pictures onto the computer from an HDD video camera?

  • I have a Panasonic HDD video camera that I'm having problems with. It seems that I cannot upload pictures or videos onto my computer. Every time I connect the USB cable to the computer, it says to connect the AC adapter. That is in no way related to the computer. How do I upload? What am I doing wrong?

    What happens when you connect the AC adapter? Some manufacturers require that because of the way the data transfers... and they don't want the camcorder to run out of power in the middle of the data transfer because that *could* corrupt the file that was in the middle of the transfer.

I have an hdd panasonic h60 camcorder had the same problem when i first was connecting my cam to pc and then i figured that out why i received that error message from my camera.to solve this problem you need to insert a dc cable in your cam instead of the battery pack and dc cable should be connected to ac adaptor which is connected to main switch if you are confused refer to your operating instructions booklet and open the page on which all accessories are listed down so you can get the pic of what ac adaptor is and dc cable coz you need these two when you connect your camcorder to pc. You can not connect your camcorder while it's using battery pack which has been charged! Any more question feel free to ask and i hope i helped
