How do I get a video from windows movie maker off the computer?

How do I get my video that I created from a camcorder onto windows movie maker??

• Some friends and I created a video on my moms camcorder. We then converted it onto a Dvd and put the file on the computer. Now, everytime I try to upload the video to windows movie maker it wont work. I put it on real player and tried to record it and then upload it but it said that the creator won't allow it to record. I really need to get this on windows movie maker. It took all day to make and I don't want it to go to waste. Thanks

  i use this one it works fine.....its a free trail and it has no limited time...... http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/download.htm go under Media Full Edition and click on Media Coder 0.6.1 latest...... hope this works
