What's the best canon HD camera to buy at the moment?

Hey, this is a bit of a long question but i need an answer desperately so please hang in there!!! Ok so i'm going to ask for a HD camera for my 14th birthday and i've heard the canon have the best lenses. I'm interested in picture (HD) The bestir the picture the happier i am. I'm looking at a price range of up to about $1500 - $2000 max, an extremely generous offer from my parents. So, here are some questions that i'm would like to know the answers to if possible: . Is canon really the best for lens and HD or are there others? . What's the latest and best HD canon camera in my price range? (my b'day's in August) . I've been doing some research on their website and i like the look of the Legria HF G10 is this the best one to choose? . And are there any canon stores in sydney or shops where you know that i will be able to purchase this camera? All the questions do not have to be answered by one answerer if you know the answer to just one please tell me i need all the help i can get!!! 5/5 for the best answer and Please Answer I need to know this!
