Why wont my camcorder work properly on my computer?

  • ok i have a DZ-HS300A Hitachi hybrid camcorder and an Imagemixer3 video editing software, but whenever i plug the camcorder into the computer with the USB chord and go to capture the video from my camcorder, it always says that no camcorder is connected to capture from when the camcorder is clearly connected. I don't know what to do and i have had a problem with this for a while, so if you can help me at all can you PLEASE answer this question and tell me how to fix this problem?

    I don't know Imagemixer but most video editors expect to capture the video via firewire rather than USB. Do you have an option in Imagemixer to capture via USB? Failing that, assuming you've recorded to the HDD, can you just transfer the files to your PC using Windows Explorer and then import them?
