What are some good skateboarding cameras?

What video cameras are meant for shooting skateboarding?

  • I don't want the circle lens i just want one that is meant for skateboarding. Like one that has a holder meant for shooting skate videos. Please help.

    Any camcorder can shoot skateboarding video. If the requirements is to shoot from a closer ground-level perspective, since most consumer camcorders don't have a "handle" on top, check out the GlideCam "StuntBar". You can also make one for a lot cheaper... By "circle lens" I presume you mean "fisheye". Those lenses are normally added on to the camcorder later. Many consumer camcorders do not have a way to add a lens, so just pay attention to what you are gettng before you buy the camcorder - check to see if a fisheye (or any other lenses or filters) can be added later. You may not want it now, but if you want to later, it would be a bummer to find out you can't add them.

hey the real skateboarding camers are the likes of the sony vx2100 , or vx2000 , they cost around 1500$ though so if your just starting filming i would advise getting a cheap camcorder . hope i answered your question

Do not, and I mean, DO NOT get a Flip Video Camcorder. Get something simple like a Samsung SC-MX20, they're cheap, and great quality for the price. You can buy a fisheye lense for about $30 and the handle on them swivels around for easy and smooth skateboarding shots. If you dont like that, then get a Canon HV30. It has all the same feature as a Samsung SC-MX20 but it has better quality and the price is more expensive. I hope I helped!
