How do I make a video recorded sideways upright again?

My wedding video was recorded as an IFO file. How can I make it a MPEG or better format?

  • Our wedding video is chapter in this long video file and I do not know how to edit it. Is there an editor that can view/recognize an IFO file? Thanks in advance!

    an ifo file is a dvd file. even though its an ifo file, thats the encryption. the way the video is compressed on the dvd is probably Mpeg-2. (say if you had a sequence of numbers 12345, encryption would be changing the squence, while compression chages the numbers into say, 56789, where the sequence is the same but numbers are different.) anyways, what you need is a dvd ripper and converter. this should rip the files from your dvd and convert them to an editable file. a simple dvd ripper will NOT work for this, as it only takes the files from dvds, but doesnt convert them, and theyre still .ifo or .vob files. i have a program called dvd to vcd svcd avi converter. the avi files are a bit large, but they will produce better quality, after editing. if you dont want to use avi, try googling dvd converters in google. hope this helps!

there's a freeware program u can download off internet called DVD DECRYPTER.. once u install it click on mode.. select IFO.. then select write.. burn ur movie

Note use about a video editor, but I had a similar issue and I converted the DVD into MPG-2 file with a DVD ripper and then edited it with Ulead Editor. Also, other editors will handle the MPG-2 file format.
