    If these are the only choices, the HC52 - it has a built-in infrared emitter the ZR950 does not have - so the HC52 can do zero-light video capture. If you add the ZR900, ZR930 or ZR960 to the mix, I would take them instead. The have a mic jack the HC52 and ZR950 do not have. None of these camcorders has manual audio control, but there is a workaround for that if you use XLR mics and an XLR adapter to connect them to the camcorder.
