HP webcam vs Flip Ultra HD mini camcorder?

I noticed my voice sounds very feminized when I switched from video recordings of myself from my 2009 HP Laptop webcam to a Flip Ultra HD mini camcorder... My voice on the webcam sounds alot more like me although lesser quality but the pitch itself seems more me. When I record videos with my Flip Ultra HD it sounds alot more crisp and clear but the pitch sounds so much more "softened" almost in a demasculinizing way lol. Is this distortion because the speakers are so small? I've heard my voice on several recording devices before and I know what you hear is different than what other people hear but I'm curious which is more close to my actual voice of these 2 forms of recording. I'm curious how I sound to people.
