How to watch movies in camcorder?

Can you watch movies on a camcorder?

  • movies with flies such as: divx, wmv & etc? I have a JVC camcorder & I'm trying to put movies into it so that i can watch movies in bed.. Can this be done?

    In short, no. But, you can just buy a portable DVD player quite cheaply now and burn stuff to DVD. If your camcorer works off DVDs you will have to find a way of compressing to the same format. If it works on tape, you would need editing software that allows you to "edit to tape".

a miniDV camcorder has an ieee1394 connection which is a 2-way port, and a video editor program can "print to tape". however miniDV is a one hour tape, so it won't hold a feature length theatrical film. best bet is to get one of those portable LCD screen DVD players to take to bed.
