Looking for a new camcorder.

Looking for a New Camcorder...help!!!?

• I'm an upcoming filmaker, and i have a lot of great ideas for movies, but i need a new camcorder Prices aren't that big a deal but i need a camcorder that is good for editing, because my recent video camera is rubbish at it i have no idea which camcorder is best....dvd or dv or what?!?!

  I wouldnt go with a harddrive camcorder, its too sketchy with loosing ur data [ive heard horror stories] I would go with Mini DV. Good quality, easy to capture and edit. For the love of GOD! get a camera with at least a 3CCD lens on it. This means that it has 3 lenses, one red, one blue, one green, which will make a better picture then normal consumer cameras. I would go with the Panasonic PVGS150 or the newer version of that. I have that camcorder, it was around $800, it does Mini DV, has a 3CCD lens, and is the same as panasonic cameras that go for like 3grand. It has the same lens as those expensive cameras, just not the extras like xlr inputs for microphones [it does have a decent mic already on it, just no built in light]
