Is the flip video camcorder good?

How to I transfer files from my flip video camcorder to a CD-R disk after installing the flip video software?

I was just wondering because I have a lot of rare vacation video footage and I didn't want to delete it, so I got the idea of transfering it to a disk since the flip camcorder box says it's an option. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know...Thanks!
