Which USB cable do I need for my JVC Camcorder?

I have a JVC high-band digital video camera is this the right cable to put videos from the cam to the computer?

  • i wanna put some of the videos i took from my jvc high band digital video camera to my computer. and i need to know if this is the right cable for it. http://www.amazon.com/Firewire-Cable-Camcorder-Canon-Sharp/dp/B000SMZDIY if its not please give me a link to the correct cable. i kno the usb cable is not the right one since its only for pics, i wanna transfer VIDEOS.

  • Answer:

The link you shared is a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable. The 4-pin side connects to the camcorder's DV port. The other side connects to your computer. If your computer has a 6-pin firewire port, then yes, it is the right cable. If your computer has a 4-pin or 9-pin firewire port, then it is not the right cable. Since you did not tell us which computer hardware you have, we have no way to know what firewire port it has.
