Help to transfer video from my video camera to my computer.

Video editing websites, and why my camera won't transfer footage with my computer?

  • I want to make a youtube video and I have a lot of ideas that I really want to put on youtube. My only problem is that I don't know very many video editing websites, and the ones I have used I dont like. Does anyone know of like a list of editing websites or software, preferably free? And the other problem is that my camera wont transfer videos into my computer. I talked to a friend of mine who is really good with computers and he told me to use this software and change the type of video mine were saved as. I did this and nothing worked! Does anyone else know how to help me? For this part of the question please be detailed!
