How to fix my Sony video camera?

How do I capture the best video quiality from my camera's dv tape? Read more.?

  • Ok. I have Sony Vegas-The newest version. I just got my camera last night and don't know much about it.. When I capture the video I have the settings correct.. For the most part. But when I open Sony vegas and select capture video.. It only does videos not theh sound.. Does someone have a way to fix that or a free software that will capture the video in the best quiality and then I can edit it in Sony Vegas later? So I can have video and sound, not just video.. thx

Steps: CAPTURE VIDEO : video stream from tape-based Vcam a.) Connect miniDV to pc via FIREWIRE cable (4 or 6 pin) for best transfer (USB w/quality concern) b.) Set vcam mode to playback, set for capture, pause c.) Open wmm and set to TASKS pane d.) Click Capture from video device; wmm controls vcam operations- on play, video stream is captured to wmm/COLLECTION EDIT MOVIE: create movie as a project e.) Drag&drop video files from collection to TIMELINE chart below at the desired sequence FINISH MOVIE: render muvee file f.) Render/Save MUVEE to pc as avi or wmv Edit in VMS
