How to add music to an HD video?

I have a HD Go Pro camera and I took a video with it, and I want to add music to the video. Now I obviously know of some programs but they ruin the video quality once the the videos is done processing. Does anyone know of a program where I can add Music to an HD video without ruining the quality? Ps. the video format is MP4 Im willing to buy a program by the way
