Copy Tape to DVD using DV cable?
-
I have problem to copy tape to DVD using dv cable. The DVD recorder menu specify that only "DVC-SD' signal can be input from DVC to the DVD recorder. How do I know what signal is out from the DVC (Camcorder)? I have a JVC camcorder and Toshiba dvd recorder. I can make copy if use audio/video calbes. But I would like to use DV cable because it is said to have better picture. Is it true? Thanks for any advises.

Answer:
DVC-SD is the standard firewire output from a MiniDV camcorder, so you should be OK. I think Toshiba are just saying you can't do something like connecting a firewire disk drive.
