How do I speed up my video on Live Movie Maker?

AVCHD video problem with Windows Live Movie Maker?

  • I just bought the Canon Vixia HF M41 and I spent over $400 for it. Its a great quality and I love the camera. The videos are in a AVCHD format. I use Windows Live Movie Maker to edit my videos. I noticed the quality was and reduced and looked it up. It said that AVCHD and other HD formats on Windows Live Movie Maker are sometimes reduced. After spending the money on the camera, I can't afford to get some video editor. Is there any way to fix the quality of video on Windows Live Movie Maker? Thanks :)

  • Answer:

Windows Live Movie Maker does not work well with Full HD AVCHD (mts/m2ts) format according to my experience. I have a Panasonic TM900 which shoots in 1080/60P AVCHD. WMM cannot handle well if I load the MTS files directly into it. But after converting to .wmv format using a video converter program everything just runs fine.
