Where can I get a pro camcorder?

How can i get better audio for my video and how can i reduce noise on the image?

  • i have an HD camcorder for now, the audio is okay and the image is good in the right light except that it does that thing that some HD does where any movement looks reall weird like it's too fluid or something, it's hard to explain but a lot of HD stuff does it not just cameras, TVs too so my question is, how can i get good audio? i'm probably gonna go back and make the actors say the lines again so that i have the video and audio on separate things and bring them together on final cut pro, also how can i reduce noise when the room gets darker and how can i jsut get better imaging in general? the resolution on my cameras are 1080p

  • Answer:

To shoot dark scenes you should shoot them much lighter than you think - your eyes are far better than any camera. It is easier to darken your footage in FCP (Using Colour Corrector 3-Way, for example) That way you don't get noise. For sound you should get microphones as close to the actors as possible. Either small lapel mics or a boom mic (on a stick held close but off camera.) You should also try to turn off air conditioners and other noises that are so constant that you stop noticing them... they're much more noticeable on the recording.
