What tapes are compatible with a Sony Handycam Video 8 CCD-TR94 Camcorder?

Hello, I am selling a Sony Handycam Video 8 CCD-TR94 Camcorder. A buyer was inquiring about what tapes are compatible with it. I was not sure, so I contacted a Sony representative. She told me it only uses standard 8mm tapes, and not digital ones. The only thing is I am confused because the camcorder has digital 8 format, and is a digital camcorder. So I would think it uses digital tapes. Please help me. Also, do any 8mm tapes work for it? And, will it playback any 8mm tapes?

According to the camera manual is states: Usable cassette: 8mm video format cassette (standard 8mm).
