How do I know who many pixels my photo has?

Do mega-pixels matter for camcorders?

  • I know for a photograph the more pixels the more clear the photo is, but what make a video or movie clear? still pixels right? and how many pixels is a 1920x1080 HD camcorder have? Thanks

  • Answer:

Do the math, that's 1,920 pixels (horizontally) and 1,080 (vertically) and you get 2,073,600 pixels. An HD camera is far better then a regular camcorder because those pixels are compressed making the picture very crisp and contrasted compared to a regular camera. A 1920x1080 is equivalent to a 30 inch television or monitor. Now 30 inches of clarity captured from the lenses of your camera most likely a little over 2 inches, you tell me how good that is.

camcorder pixels are different from digi camera pixels. basically 0.8 mega pixels is considered a starter for camcorders, but least 3 mega pixels is a starter for digi cameras, because digi cameras have still pixels, while camcorders have dynamic pixels. so does pixels matter? ofcoz, higher pixels you get, resolution is higher. but do remmeber that camcorders pixels are different from digi cams', so like 5 mega pixels might be low for a digi cam, but SUPER HIGH FOR A CAMCORDER.
