Can I use my video camera as webcam?

• Am positive i used to be able to use my JVC miniDV video camera as webcam in msngr previously (ie 2 years ago), but doesn't seem to work now. Any ideas? Thx in advance.

  yes you can..i used to have the same exact one..jvc minidv camera...you have to plug it in to your computer, and install the software that came with it. If you dont have it, im sure if you to go jvc site, and put in your model number of your camera, you can download it there free. once you install the software, and open it, there will be somewhere that you can turn on your camera, and then use it as a webcam. i did it all the time. save yourself 30 bucks on a new webcam. if you need more help getting it going, I will help you..add me to your messenger.. danleela137 and put a note when you add me saying webcam help...k...we will get it working...
