What program do you use to put video (from a camera) onto the computer to edit and put on a DVD?

Vegas Movie Studio and Vegas to capture and edit, DVD Lab to author DVDs. Both the editors now include a decent DVD authoring app, but I've had DVD Lab for a long time! I also use Bluff Titler for adding titles and VirtualDub for making some of my shaky camera work more watchable.

The method used to transfer video from a camcorder to a computer is different for every type (DV tape/Analogue tape/DVD/HDD/etc.) of camcorder and since you have not told us the type of your camcorder it is impossible to give you definitive advice - you will no doubt receive many guesses for answers - but these will only confuse you. ..
