How do I play DVD movies on my PC?

I have an HD Camcorder and have downloaded the movies to PC and burned onto a DVD, what can i play this on?

  • So, I've recorded some home movies of my daughter in full HD with my camcorder. I have downloaded this to my PC and have an option to burn this to a DVD-R in HD. What type of player will I be able to view this DVD in HD? A Regular DVD player? a DVD player with upcovert? An HD DVD player? a blu-ray DVD player??

  • Answer:

If it is really HD, you'll need a DVD player that can decode Windows Media or Quicktime HD files, which almost none does. You'll probably only be able to play them in your computer's DVD drive as it takes a sophisticated setup to accomplish this resolution in such a small space. What software are you using for your DVD creation?
