Which Camcorder Should I Buy?

  • I want to buy a camcorder, but because I've never had one before, I've got no idea about anything. I guess I want one thats around $100-$130 dollars, smallish, has good quality sound and audio (or the best you can get for my price range). I’d use it for filming friends/family, or interesting looking videos (I want to learn editing). Also, what is the average quality of camera within $100-130? Is it terrible, or average? What are terms I should know, like, "a point and shoot " means... Are the following good, and what is the best?     sorry buts it definitely worth it to go up to a miniDV or even a miniDVD camcorder for around $200. quality is a whole lot better, the cheaper cameras are just about worthless, and make sure if you want to edit videos you get one with a DV output (for a firewire cord). this lets you upload video to a computer. cameras with just a USB will only transfer still shots to the computer
