How to transfer old video tapes on to DVD's?

Can i transfer video from my PC netbook to VHS tapes..(or if not, DVDs) ?

  • I have rare movie film video on my netbook that i would love to put onto VHS tape( i have a perfect VCR) and give to my mom to watch- is there a way to do it? or if not , what about on DVD. my netbook doesn't have a burner btw. Thank you for any advice

  • Answer:

borrow a tristar mx hd pvr. connect it to your netbook via the usb port. put the movie on the hd pvr from your netbook. now give the pvr to your mother. the pvr is easy to operate like a vcr, but it does not use vhs tapes. it uses flash memory or hard drive to save everything like your computer does. hope this helps.

You net book does not have a way to transfer the video to a VHS tape, if you can borrow a DVD writer (external) you would be able to do it. the quality will be better. You can get them for less than $40 http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=external+dvd+writer&x=0&y=0 will be useful to have one anyway. You can get digital to analogue converters, that you can put video from your computer to your VHS player but they are not that cheap for one that will give you good results. The last option do you have a friend that has a burner (DVD) transfer the video to theirs and burn it. RR
