Should i buy this Video camera?

I want to buy a new video camera but i also need a digital camera. Do i really have to buy these seperately?

    Depends how good you want your photos and videos to be. You can get crappy photos and videos from a cell phone if you didn't care about quality at all. I would not recommend using a digital camera to make movies. They will look awful. If you are serious about the quality of both your movies and your pictures, I would recommend a DCR-SR200. You can find them on ebay for around $600. It shoots movies in Hi-Def, takes still images at 4mp (not too shabby for a camcorder), has a 40gb hard drive to store your pics and movies (no more messing around with tapes or memory sticks), uses Dolby 5.1 sound and has a very high-quality Carl Zeiss lens.

You don't need an expensive video camera, depending on what quality you expect. If it is just for taking home movies, most digital cameras nowadays have a video feature on them - just make sure sound is included.
