How to cut short mpg video from dvd?

  • I was given a dvd of my son's football game. I want to cut a few plays from it to send to family via email. How can I do it? I have PC or Mac available. I have a USB video capture card I could use, but the quality is usually horrible due to the slower USB transfer rate.

Copy your dvd using clonedvd. Convert your dvd using some converters you like to avi or mpg. Then use windows movie maker to cut scenes of the movie. And put them as you like.
