Since I am not quite familiar with Sony HVR cameras, I just wanted to know that what does Operation, Drum, Tape and Threading hours mean? Also do you have to replace the drum after a certain time and if yes, how dow can you get one? Sorry if I am asking too much. If you've got a useful link from a website, please post it since that will help too.

Answer:
Operation is total hours it has been turned on. Drum is the total time the drum has run (includes pause time). Tape is the time the tape has run. Threading is not hours it is the number of thread-up cycles run. You should get well over 2000 hours on the drum, 4000 would be typical. you will know when the drum is worn to need replacing.
