How do you make very sticky tape?

I have a mini dv tape camcorder. how do i make a dvd from the tape?

  • I have a dvd burner on my laptop and i want to transfer video from my camcorder to a dvd. i have the canon 853 mini dv tape/sd card camcorder. the owner handbook doesn't make it clear. do i just attach the usb to load the tape's contents on to my laptop, then burn as i would a music cd? thanks

  • Answer:

    No. You have to use a firewire port to rip the contents of the tape onto the computer. USB won't cut it. Once you connect the camcorder with the firewire and turn the camcorder to 'play' mode the computer will recognize the device and give you instructions on what to do. Once you have the video file ripped onto your computer you can go about it burning it with your favorite dvd burning program.

You need a firewire cord to connect the camera to the pc and a firewire card in your pc.
