It is important to try out a camcorder in the store to see how it fits your hand. Also, make sure you get one with an eye viewfinder in addition to the flip-out LCD. Many camcorders now have just the flip-out LCD and you will get very tired trying to hold the camcorder away from your eyes to see the screen.
