Whats a good camcorder to get?

Whats the best video digital camcorder to buy for my money? also, how do i get my footage onto youtube.com?

  For $200 the best is not going to be very good. In the camcorder market these days, camcorders for beginners are best around $400. I still use my somewhat older mini-DV (you are right in the fact that mini-DV has the best quality and the tapes are easy to store) so I do not know what is on the market these days. All I can say to use is to up your budget to $400 and get a mini-DV. If it is a choice between getting a camcorder now for $200 or a camcorder for $400 in 2 months, wait 2 months. As for the last question, if you are looking for quality, go with the mini-DV, which is different from DVD. I rarely use youtube, so I cannot help with that aspect.
