How do I convert digital video to VHS?

How can I convert this digital video cassette to either VHS or DVD?

  • I have a Panasonic 3CCD mini dv camcorder and I need to make a movie for my history class. The problem is, i have no idea how to convert the little tape into a usable video that I can hand in. The camera came with all these wires but none of them fit in my computer and I dont know what they're for because it's a borrowed camera and I don't have a manuel! helppppp

If your camera does not have a firewire port then you won't be able to capture the video. MINIDV You have a mini dv (cassette) camcorder…. Your dv camcorder needs a firewire connection (ieee 1394) in order to download video, Firewire to usb will not work to download video. You might end up with only sound or only video. Your PC might not have a firewire port, so you will have to buy one and install it, you need to buy a firewire cord too. Your camcorder came with a USB cord and that is used for downloading stills from your camcorder. Make sure your camera is in playback mode. If you have a laptop, make sure your laptop has an empty bay for a card. The fine print in your manual makes reference to firewire (ieee 1394) connection.

i got the same camera and same thing trust me there is no way, you can get a usb cord at best buy to connect it to ur pc or computer but u will keep on having to buy the cassetes. just try saving up for a new one i guess sorry i had this probaly too
