Which Camcorder to buy?

Which CAmcorder to buy?

• i want to buy a camcorder that can also take good quality pictures (stills). i am also confuse about which format to choose , not interested in tapes, and would prefer hassel free transfer of movies to computer, better if it plays disc(DVD) directly on dvd player without any conversion or burning. suggest me a camcorder with a flash and night mode facility. If the camcorders dont take good stills then which digi cam should i buy (very confused over this megapixel thing) i want the digicam for travel perpous so it should not be too bulky (like those Nikon ones)
