How to shoot a video. short films or music videos?

  • hey !! i just got my new CANON REBEL 550 T2i and i realy want to learn how to star i look for tutorials but non of them give me the right information i want to know, this is realy important to me because i always like to make videos and i work hard to get that camara and now im dont know what to do if theres anybody that can help me with that I would appreciate your help thank you..

I think what mystik (or whatever) means is that no one can teach you exactly what to film or how to do it, you just have to have a nack for it. I think what you mean is, what are the basics. well There are right and wrong ways to film. There's alot to cover on that subject. The best I can do is point you to these: basic terms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinematic_techniques more technical stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinematography#Aspect_ratio_and_framing framing and composition (IMPORTANT) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composition_%28visual_arts%29 that last one is very important. Filming is an art. You have to have the skill, but you have to learn the technical stuff too. Hope that helps, don't let anyone discourage you from what you wanna do.

No one can help you, you either are talented in that area or not. You come up with the script, invision it and put it to life. If you need help on organizing your script and shot lists, theres plenty of books on that in your local book store. For music videos, storyboarding works best.

Perhaps group with a few friends of yours and go make your own small music videos etc. And just remember this one thing; there is no such thing as right or wrong. Making videos is a creative process
