What is the best video camera? $300 dollar price range?

  • i'm looking for a video camera thats very portable (i could carry it in my pocket), something that uses a memory card/chip, good quality, something i could film in the dark, and a good battery life. any suggestions?

    You are not going to find a camcorder that can film in the dark with a Memory Chip, You are going to have to get something that uses MiniDV tapes, It may seem to you that its hard to edit the videos from a tape but its not. Its actually as easy as plugging the camera in to your computer and hitting record. I would recommend the Sony DCR-HC28, It has the nightshot capability you want, and all MiniDV cameras have good battery life.
