  You did not state what your budget is so suggestions could be many. Most camcorders sold today record in HD so that's not a problem for you. But consumer-grade camcorders do not record great audio. Being that you will be recording a guitar, you are best off using a separate audio recording device. You would still use a camcorder but you would replace the audio in the video with the audio from the other device. You could use something like a Zoom H4n or simple like the newer Zoom H1. As with any audio recorder you would need to use a good quality microphone with it, even with more than one mic. With an audio recorder, you can balance the input and control the gain. A poorly shot video can still be appeasing if there is great audio. But a great video with poor audio has a lot to be desired.
