HOW TO MAKE SD CARD IMPORT TO COMPUTER AGAIN?

Strange issue... my SD card was working fine. I would import pictures from my Nikon Coolpix L110 all the time. The card now does not show up on either my Vista computer or my new MAC. This is the problem... the card works at the Bay Photo Lab down the street (I had emergency pictures sucked off of there for $15.00.) The card works it seems... but not on either of my computers! I now have tried buying a new card reader which does work... but it won't recognize the card either. So why could this be?

checked the drivers are fine? Any new updates? Did you try multiple ports? did you also check in device manager if the card reader is enabled? regarding updates, i didn't only mean concerning the drivers, also something that could have impaired on their function or there might have been something bugged as new updates often cause problems that are not expected. okay it is not the drivers for the usb ports then if they work fine otherwise, i d still check if i was u if the device manager doesn't give you any information on the hardware you use. you didn't put a password on your sd card by any chance, did you? it can still be that the camera cable is faulty. it is possible that the card reader requires a different file system than the format of the sd card (fat32/fat16).
