JVC Video Camcorder Drivers?

  • I have a JVC GR-DX77AG digital video camcorder. I need to transfer videos from the camcorder to the computer. I do not have any installation CD as my friend gave it to me without the CD. I'm stuck now. Is there any software and driver download website for this camcorder? I've tried JVC's website, but they don't have it. Please help....

    I've come to find out recently that JVC Does a good job of getting the material onto the camera, but has failed to make it easy to get the material off into a useable format like DVD. If the camera has firewire, that may be the best way to import/capture the video to your PC using a real editing program like Sony Vegas. You shouldn't need any driver with firewire, the only drawback is you capture the digital stream in real time...

Your miniDV (I assume) camera should have Firewire port - you do NOT NEED drivers for that. Firewire drivers are part of both wind. XP and Vista. Just plug the firewire cable, turn cam on and windows will find new hardware - digital video device. If you need to use USB port for transfer, than yes, you need drivers (USB is slower than firewire - good for trnasfering pictures, but video is better over firewire).
