hey i use a sony camcorder, always have and always will. To me they are the best; i like the way they are easy to use and they have been vey reliable for me. however, i do recommend you check them out for yourself! i think comparison sites these days are great http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Photo,Camcorder http://audiovisual.kelkoo.co.uk/c-123501-camcorders.html these are both really helpful sites and u can usually enter ur budget so for you they will only generate the cameras under £300!! best of luck!

if i were you i'd just go for a digital camera, you can get waterproofs nd shock proofs for under £300 and they do film & pictures :)

Any of the JVC Everio series are, in my opinion, the best, I have had mine fr about 5 years & have never had any trouble with it.I also have a Sony & a Panasonic but the JVC wins hands down.
