I have Panasonic GS47 camcorder ( MiniDV format), Video Transfer problem ! Help !?

Now, The problem is that, to transfer the video from the cassette to the PC, it requires USB 2.0 port, while we have USB 1.1 port. The software on the CD just says "Error". I am using intel 845 GV mother board, 256 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD, DVD COMBO Drive Any Idea how can I transfer the video to pc? Is there any USB 2.0 to USB 1.1 converter hardware ? Any other solution ?

Are you using a USB 1.1 hub? The 845GV motherboard series are supposed to have USB 2.0 ports. The best way to transfer DV video is with an IEEE 1394 cable.
