On the sony hd handycam does it use a cd to record or a memory stick?

i want to get a sony hc handycam but i want to know if it records on a cd or a memory stick!! lol

Sony has three different types of HD camcorders. 1) MiniDV (cassette tape) 2) DVD (the 8mm ones) 3) HDD (Hard Disk Drive) The units that have a memory stick slot available use the memory sticks for recording still images, not video. I've found that the easiest units to transfer onto a computer are the miniDV and the HDD units. DVD is a bit picky.
