How do you use a sony memory stick?

What memory stick do I need to buy to use in a Sony PD-170?

• New film student here - I'm struggling finding the correct memory stick for a Sony PD-170 that I have to use for one of my projects. I've tried Best Buy and Target. No luck. If you could possibly link me to the exact memory stick, that would help a lot! Thanks!

  PD-170...are you shooting photo or video? For video, you need MiniDV tape. For photo, it's Memory Stick. I'm not too familiar with the Memory Stick format and its various forms, actually. That particular camera's quite a few years old now - cards might now be hard to find, as the Memory Stick format has evolved a bit since then and I'm not sure whether they're backward compatible. Either way, for video, MiniDV tape is all over the place, relatively cheap, and easy to find.
