What is internal flash memory on a camcorder please help!?

so i am thinking of buying this camcorder but i don't know how flash memory works do you just buy it from a store and stick it in? what does it do? where do i but it? oh and here is the link to the camcorder- http://www.amazon.com/Canon-R21-Camcorder-Internal-Memory/dp/B004HW7E6K/ref=pd_cp_p_1 and the reason i want this one is because it is the only HD camcorder that i can find that has a mic jack.

no....its like a 32GB HARD DISK for ur cam.....its inbuilt and comes with it by its own........and it has additional memory cars slot in case run out of space in the middle of a photo shoot
