Can i use my digital video camera for my webcam?

Can i use my video camera as a webcam to use for Blogtv?

• I dont have a webcam to use but i really want to do a show on Blogtv. I tried making a webcam with my eyetoy camera but it was really confusing. If you could send an easy link that has step-by-step instructions on turning an eyetoy camera into a webcam that would be perfect but can i use my regular video camera too?
