Video Format Error/Problem Help?

  • So, my macbook only takes mov. and mp4. and some others. But, my new camera only captures in avi. and that isn't compatable, so I need a converter. I have searched all over the web and found multiple converters for free and I have tried almost all of them. They all seem to snip off time in the video. Whether it being 3 seconds or half the video, but those seconds are really important. I need a video converter that will NOT take ANY time off of the video clips. Thank you!!
