Why wont my videos from my camera play on my computer?

My Camera won't play videos on the computer?

  • My Kodak camera won't play videos when on the computer. At the moment, i am using a free converter which 1. takes ages to convert and 2. has a watermark right in the middle of the screen. Is there a way that i can put videos straight on my computer. Like a WM4 free download or something.

    Instead of converting, buy a program like pinnacle studio 14hd (or something similar) and avoid converting as you have found that it is tedious and has a water mark. I paid 40.00 for my program and it reads every file type from my 5 camcorders/cameras. I had a kodak kand they suck..But u should just be able to plug it into the computer with cord that came with the camera when u bought it and then something should pop up saying download photos to the computer and then u click that and they should download!..Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt!!It;s a pain so i just sold my camera to my sister and bought an ipod with a camera!!

An easier way would be to install a media player that can play most types of files. VLC Player is supposed to be a good one (I've never used it, but have read rave reviews of it) and it's free. http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/ If you really want to convert the files, a good free converter without a watermark or limitations is Freemake Video Converter.
