Which is better/more economical: Sony HDD 30GB camcorder & JVC HDD 30GB camcorder. Price difference up to $400

Need to buy a camcorder, just good one. But the option i have is Sony product or JVC product. I searched and found out that both of same specification (Sony and JVC) has a very big price difference.Sony HDD 30GB camcorder = $999.00 & JVC HDD 30GB camcorder = $570.00. I am confused because i just need something that will serve me personally and also be ok and affordable. Please advice.

I have the JVC HDD 30GB I bought it a month ago and it works great . I'd go with that one .

i have victor gz-mg-50 30gb. really good. there is only one problem . that's software.its coming with product. cyberlink DVD software. too bad. it doesn't work if you have downloaded another burning program even with messenger, media player. i got headache to burn 1 DVD 3 months. finally i find nero 7 .now no problem. in fact camera is super. i can recommend just camera
