Can I import video from my DVD camcorder into iMovie (laptop)? (camera only has s-video and usb)?
-
I have a Panasonic DVD camcorder model d105 and a PowerBook G4. Before I purchased the camera, both Panasonic and Mac told me this will work...it's not. iMovie wants it imported via a firewire cable and the camera just has usb and s-video. Any ideas. I'm ready to through it out the window... I can still return it (I hope). Any suggestions on a camera? Thanks in advance.

Answer:
Try a dazzle video importer. It won't give you as good of a video quality as FireWire would directly, but it works. You can also record movies from almost any camcorder through it.
